Firewall rules for specific in/out interfaces

Documentation (e.g. Creating Firewall Rules) and screenshots in historical posts indicate an interface in / interface out setting for firewall filter rules. This would enable VLAN-specific firewall rules without full dependence on IPv4 ranges; as it stands today, VLAN-specific rules with IPv6 enabled on the VLAN becomes effectively impossible without ULA settings on the VLANs (not available) and/or interface settings in the firewall rules (not available).

Were these options removed from the UI?

The interface in/out values actually did not have any effect on filter firewall rules, which is why they were removed from the UI. However, Interface in is still available for port-forwards (DNAT), and Interface out is still available for all the other types of NAT rules.
