Feedback Needed: On-wall AP Mount

Hello Alta Labs Community!

We want your input regarding on-wall AP mount types. For your projects, we want to know what is more important.

  1. More of a flush mount bracket that allows the RJ45 port to be flush/even with the back plate? Like this?

OR

  1. Or one that allows the AP to have a slightly slimmer look, but where the RJ45 port protrudes past the back plate? Like this?

Please share your feedback by replying to this post.

Thank you, as always, for your time and input!

Personally 1. More flexible design works solid wall or dry wall. no need for any mounting boxes.

UK user here. Many homes have solid wall construction so a flat back mount works in all scenerios

Number 1 for sure from my perspective. Anywhere I have personally mounted On Wall APs, there has been either a low voltage ring, or single gang box.

Don’t really care either way but would lean thinner AP so 3.

Just make it easier than the current AP mount.
