I’m certain this has been asked for though I haven’t located it.
I’m in the process of moving away from Unifi and getting into the world of Alta Labs fully. I’ve been loving my Route 10, 2x AP6, 2x S8, and S48! So awesome.
The one thing I’m missing from life is an alternative to the Unifi Flex Mini.
I have a couple of locations where I use the smaller switches to break out connectivity to a couple of machine. Places where an S8 is too much, and running additional drops isn’t an option either.
For these it would be great to have a lower cost option to provide basic 1GbE, for things like 3D print hosts or in the home theater cabinet for 2 or 3 devices.
The missing device with say 4/5 ports in the $50-$75 USD range would be a fantastic addition to the ecosystem I think. POE in and 4 standard eth.
Maybe I’m alone on this, but hey, one can dream. Anyway… I’ve converted 2 other home-lab enthusiasts already and will keep spreading the word.
