I just bought the Route10 and I am trying to set it up prior to cutting over my network.
Right now I have my backup internet connection in WAN1 and my laptop (that I am typing on) on LAN3. As you can see, it is working.
HOWEVER, I cannot get management from the cloud to sync. I have added an SSH key but getting rejected, it also says Anonymous key - not Root/Admin key - in the settings (no clue how to change that…)
- Showing Disconnected on the cloud manager portal (but I am online)
- Not taking my IP setup for VLAN1
- Thought about using on-prem control in docker, but it is an ancient image and since config doesn’t persist, why would I?
Just in general, this feels like an extremely poor first experience. What am I doing wrong?
This is usually caused by the precaution you’re trying to take – using your old router in front of the new one introduces a double NAT scenario and results in strange connectivity issues.
I am going to call your support right now to troubleshoot, however, I do not have it connected to my existing network. It is a parallel setup right now.
Here is the base template you’ll be asked to follow if you contact support directly: https://help.alta.inc/hc/en-us/articles/33805536932891-Why-Does-My-Device-Say-Disconnected
Give that a try first and see where things stand.
Thanks for that. Everything responded as if there was no problem. Ended up deleting the site, doing a power-on reset, and adding it back manually. Seems to be stable now. Gonna move everything over now crosses fingers
