Searching for error or performance or debug information presently is overly complicated. It involves SSH sessions the use of grep and or other or match functions. It needs a relatively higher level of skill. The default SSH sessions (Shift and left Click) throws up a relatively small window viewing session.
I would like to see Diagnostics tab under the System section on the RouteIO.
Withing that Diagnostic’s menu :
I would suggest there should be a Diag Tab - basic diagnostic tests Ping, A way of measuring throughput to/from the WAN link. etc .. Normal stuff
There should also be a Tab for LOGS.
These individual logs VPN/WiFI/Switches/System etc … (initially restrict to RouteIO capabilities)
These logs should be selectable via an OR function ie display matching the following VPN or WIREGUARD(wg), or ERROR. These logs also should be searchable via an AND function ie VPN and WG and ERROR etc
I do not accept that its reasonable to have a syslog function available to view all the logs above. Your target market is wide and as such you should cater for engineers/consumers of all capabilities. However if your target market is similar to Cisco then your current offering is correct.
