Detect/display IPs for devices with static IPs

Hi,

It would appear that the fix to Detect/display IPs for devices with static IPs that was fixed in 1.3x is no longer working in 1.4c. Can anyone confirm?

Thanks

@richardvaughan, seems like its responding correctly for me. Tried changes for device attached to AP6P (Shelly WiFi Plug)

  • Changing between DHCP and Static IP in Device settings IP Adress field in Alta cloud Control, and
  • Changing between DHCP and Static IP in Shelly device’s own UI.

It is obviously a device that has already been discovered on the network since before, if that matters to this issue.

What is your particular setup?

@ebuckland81,

My Route 10 is connected to an Non-AltaLabs Web managed 8-port 2.5Gbe switch via a 10GBE DAC uplink on SFP+(1) on the Route 10. I have 4 TPLINK EAP660HD’s (configured on local oc300 omada controller) connected to the Switch. Port L3 on the Route 10 is connected to a 48-port 1Gbe which generally runs all my wired connections within the house. My devices with IP address set statically are not showing their IP’s in the Route 10 device list. The Route 10 network Map is in no way representative of my netowork.

Thanks
Richard

Hi,
I can confirm that the static IP address is not working again after update to version 1.4c Nearly all my static IP addresses has gone again. This was working fine before the update.
My system is running on Alta equipment

So something has change in this update

Is it only related to wired devices? Static IP set in Alta Labs config or in the devices’ configs?

Seems like all my Static IPs set in Cloud control still show as expected (with firmwares as of yesterday). All Network devices are Alta equipment.

Devices config for Me. I assume you are on about DHCP reservations @ebuckland81??

@richardvaughan, yes, DHCP, Static IP, reservations on the Route10 end, except for the testing on the WiFi device where I checked (configuration of static IP on) both ends.

Hi, only my wired connection are on Static IP. All wireless devices are on DHCP so I can not say 100% if this only relates to Wired but still it does not show IP addresses. This was fixed before and now it is the same as before the fix.
