Question: Does the local controller have additional functions than the cloud managed controller. For my home and the folks im gonna pitch this for the cloud controller is the way to go.

We still recommend the cloud platform but we’ve released this local hardware version for those that are reluctant to use cloud-based controllers.

@zid We will work to keep Cloud in parity with the self hosted and hardware versions of our controller. That being said, we will develop features in the cloud first and then deploy into the hardware and self hosted versions shortly thereafter they are deployed in the cloud. We will try and minimize the delay in between, but our goal will always be parity.
