How can i connect to my devices if i am on a different subnet from 192.168.x.x
My DHCP has given the alta route10 an IP on the same subnet as the local control device, but i cannot see the route10 in the control. It seems like some of the things i have read require 192.168 to setup, this seems like a poor config requirement as im trying to put this in an already setup network .
For the time being, setup with 192.168.1.1
in your web browser, and statically assign your controller to an address within that subnet. Then add the controller’s local ddns to the Route10 (after completing the internet setup wizard, not before).
Now you can adopt the Route10 locally and set VLAN1 to your preferred default subnet. Revert the address change on the controller as well.
If you have another router in place, please remove it. You will encounter a double NAT issue in almost all cases with 2 routers, which could result in a number of strange issues during setup. I assume this other router is providing the DHCP server you mentioned; if not, remove that as well.
