I love local managment. I also love the convenience of cloud management. Is there a matrix or other discussion of the pros and cons of running control, using a control device and using the cloud management?
It would be interesting to see.
I know there’s a matrix of sorts on the Alta Control page:

Couple of things I can think of in terms of Pro and Cons would be the cloud controller typically gets new features and fixes first. For instance, the new Floor Plan feature that was just realeased is only in the cloud controller at the moment.
Of course, if the Internet is down at a site then nothing can be configured from the cloud controller until it’s back up. Exceptions being if SSH is setup or a local controller is setup.
Just a couple of things I could think of off the top of my head. I primarily use the cloud controller so hopefully others might be willing to chime in on this as well 
A couple things missing from local that are not shown in the matrix on that page:
- MFA Ability for login to the controller
- AltaBoost / any Carrier Offload
