Hi,
I noticed that the channels 132-140 are not working. When I select them in the WebUI I can see that the AP does not even switch to the channel. Even after waiting the 10min DFS scan time.
What is so different to channel 132-140
160MHz does not get activated instantly, is that normal?
I’m getting some odd results as well. I’m checking with the developers to verify what we’re cleared for, regulatory wise, in your country. I’ll follow up.
Hi Matt,
it seems channels 132-140 only support 20MHz and 40 MHz bandwidth in the EU. Could this be the reason that it never switches if the bandwidth is set higher?
That’s my observation as well and would explain it. Digging deeper into the regulatory side of things now. Unfortunately, regulatory domains worldwide can get quite granular. i.e. we may be cleared in XYZ country but only for specific chunks of bands, rather than the whole band. I’m not saying that’s what is happening here, just giving an idea of how much of a headache it is to get a single device approved. While there are only 195 countries, some of which piggyback off each other, there’s probably tens of thousands of rules across them.
