Hello,
I’ve created a MGMT VLAN and I’m able to change both my S8-POE switch and single AP’s Mgmt VLAN setting to that VLAN. I can also move the on-prem controller to that VLAN. How do I move the route10 to that VLAN? Essentially I’m trying to get everything on a 10.0.0.0/8 network (with the MGMT VLAN being 10.99.0.0/16) but currently the route10 has an IP of 192.168.1.1 (Default VLAN). I’m running passthrough to AT&T if that’s involved in some way.
Thanks,
Mike
Edit: the obvious solution to get things on a 10.99.0.0/16 “MGMT” network would be to change the network on the VLAN 1 to that IP scheme. However I was hoping to get of the default VLAN 1, especially for network management purposes. Not sure if that’s possible or not though.
Update:
I’ve tried moving he vlan of the controller to a non-default vlan. When I do this I lose access to the controller when it’s plugged into the route 10. If I move it to a port on the 8 port alta switch, I can access (thankfully). What I’m not understanding is why I can access it when it’s plugged into the router. Also the router IP never changes in the controller. Controller is on 10.4.60.0/24 but router still shows 192.168.1.1. Was thinking that would change to 10.4.60.1. Got myself in a confused state here.

I know for me it as aways necessary to fully power cycle the controller to get it to pick up a new IP and update the ddns address… Also, the port you are using on Route10 for the controller, do you mind sharing a screenshot of that config and the config of the switch on the S8-POE that works?
I have a switch mgmt vlan 450, an ap mgmt vlan 490 and then this Mgmt vlan 460. I’ve been trying to put the controller on this mgmt vlan 460, but once I do that I can’t access the admin console even if my laptop is on the same vlan (I created a test ssid and set it to that vlan). So I’m not sure where I’m going wrong.
Wanted to note, right now the controller is on the default vlan and my laptop is on the default as well via WiFi which is why I can get these screenshots. But the minute I plug the controller into one of those ports in the screenshot, I can’t get to the admin console anymore.
