Any installers using Cat6 cable installing these Ap7 Pros having Port flapping issues ? If the Access point is connected with a short cable it won’t Flap on and off on and off. If its connected with any thing past 8 feet it flaps not mater the make model or brand of cable Have it be terminated A or B.
On a side note using a SFP+to RJ45 it has to be forced to 10g on the SFP+ ports on any Altalabs Switches with SFP+,
Port 7 on S12 > SFP+RJ45 > POE++ 10gig Injector > 8’ or longer cable > Ap. ( flaps )
Port 7 on S12 > SFP+RJ45 > POE++ 10gig Injector > 1’ cable Ap. ( no flaps )
Port 45 on S48 2.5gbe PoE port > SAME 8’ cable > Ap no issues at all
ALL cables pass to the 10gig mark on the FLuke LinkIQ
Please give us the make and model of the injector and the RJ45 SFP+ transceiver. We have not been able to reproduce the flapping nor the requirement to force to 10G in our testing.
We’re working on trying to reproduce this exactly, and we’ll let you know how it goes, but we still need to get a couple more pieces of equipment to test with.
