An AP6 Dies in Service

Hi Guys,

It’s been a while!!!

I have just recuperated an AP6 from one of our MSP clients premises and sad to say that it is as dead as a Dodo.

It was powered by an Alta 16 port PoE switch and it’s mate is still dishing out WiFi.

What can I do to check it and see if it can be recovered?

Do you get any LED lights on the AP (logo) or on the connected ethernet port when powering the AP?

If you have not already, I would try a power-on reset with a known good Ethernet cable and POE source. - POR LINK

Thanks for the link to the POR procedure, in reply to your LED question: nada not a peep.

Will go through the POR and report back.

Ok Have gone through the POR twice and had nothing show on the AP… It looks like it is dead :frowning:
