Am I safe to make an assumption that a TAGged port can act as a TRUNK port?
Correct, trunk ports generally have all the defined VLANs tagged plus one native VLAN. The default black port profile sets native VLAN 1 plus all other defined VLANs tagged, which is the most commonly desired config for trunk ports.
If you don’t want to trunk all the VLANs, you can configure one of the other colors accordingly with the desired tagged VLANs and use that color on your trunk ports. You might do that if you wanted to keep one or more specific VLANs limited only to one switch.
