Each year, TEKnowledge Worldwide (TKW) gives the gift of technology to a deserving recipient voted for by our members. This year, the community chose Sojourner House in Rhode Island to give this gift to. We call this annual program TEKSGiving
Alta Labs partnered w/ our community to provide all needed networking hardware to provide a solid network backbone for this organization in FOUR (4) of their office locations, which provides the first step in providing shelter for all walks of life when help is needed most.
This donation included:
25 AP6 Pros
3 24 Port Switches
1 48 Port Switch
4 Route10
These networks now support a combined 20+ cameras, Access Control for 6 doors, blanket WiFi across all properties as well as safe and secure Internet access to dozens of workstations.
We were fortunate enough to have Cole Sampson (which many of you may know!) join us on this adventure so he could see first hand the impact this gift makes for this community.
We can’t thank Alta Labs enough for their generosity, support and for simply being a part of our mission at TKW. When we asked Alta to be a part, we were met with an overwhelming feeling of pride, excitement and joy to be asked - and they really delivered.
