I have noticed that the Control HW device allows the plugged in USB power source to power the device only if the PoE option for the Switch S8’s port is set to Off. This won’t provide fallback from USB to PoE.
The USB power will also kick in as fallback if the Ethernet cable is unplugged while PoE On/Default.
So, the Default setting chooses PoE over USB power. Is this intended behavior? How can I achieve USB first, then fallback to PoE?
Had a look at the datasheet for the Control device, but I noted that it only mentions that it can be powered from PoE or USB. Nothing in particular on primary source or fallback.
