AdGuard VPN + Route10 Ipsec/IKEv2 - how to?

In the age of widespread surveillance and restrictions, I wanted to use the VPN client option. I have AdGuard VPN. Has anyone already tried to run it on the Route10? In AdGuard’s options, there is the possibility to configure it on a router via IPsec/IKEv2 . Now the question is: how do I upload the certificate to the Route10? Has anyone tried to get this working? I’d be grateful for any information.

I think you’d have to manually do this through the CLI, at least right now. I’ve gathered probably needs to go into /etc/ipsec.d/certs, at least according to this documentation: ipsec.d/cacerts - strongSwan

I wonder if you could get most of the client portion setup in the controller interface then finish up with uploading the cert to the correct directory? If you’re using Windows then maybe something like https://mobaxterm.mobatek.net/ might make it easier, since it provides a little GUI to look at the file system if you SSH into the router.

Thank you for the tip. Today I had more time and dedicated it to thoroughly checking, but unfortunately there’s no activity on the AdGuard server. To be honest, I’m not even sure if it’s working at all from the router’s side

After restarting the router, the certificate is no longer present in the /etc/ipsec.d/certs directory on the router.

Yeah, I think only /cfg is where files persist through reboots so that’s not too surprising. I definitely voted for your feature request though!
