Add firewall rule hit counter in WebUI

Hey,

Been reading the forums for quite some time now and love the communication you got here!

I am using a Route10 with an AP6 at home that is working perfect even though my home has concrete walls all over the place

A thing I feel is missing is a simple glance on the firewall rules (webUI) to see a counter of any sort that shows traffic hits (and the ability to clear counters), so you easier can remove rules that are not needed.

Keep up your good work!

100% agree but I don’t believe iptables has the ability to do a hit counter. Which would still be fine, iptables does track packets and bytes.

You can get that currently by going into the console and typing: iptables -vL

They would most likely have to adopt something like ulogd to get more structured data to report on if they went that route.

Periodically parsing iptables and just creating a graphical indicator of packets/bytes in the last hour/day/etc would suffice without having to add applications though. For most users.
