Add Facebook WiFi support

We’ve recently opened an eye clinic in a small rural town in Kansas. Something that the doctors have asked me to implement if possible is Facebook Wi-Fi to drive traffic to our Facebook page (Facebook being very common even amongst younger audiences around here). Is there anyway to add this feature to AP6/AP6 Pro?
Cheers, Brady

It seems you are asking to have AP6 access points to use Indentify Providers like

“Sign in withFacebook”

there are others
“Sign in Apple”
“Sign in with Google”
“Sign in with GitHub”

The only concern is that control with whom had access to the AP6 access points is not managed anymore.

This was an interesting one. I remember Facebook WiFi being discontinued but you wouldn’t be able to tell that by Googling it and looking for an announcement from Facebook.

What you will find is announcements from just about every WiFi vendor that supported Facebook WiFi announcing that it was being discontinued, so I’m thinking it’s discontinued. Based on the Google results, it appears to have been discontinued as of June 12th, 2023.

Best you can do at this point, near as I can tell, is create a captive portal and set the landing page to be the specific URL of the business’s Facebook page. Beyond that, there may be extra features you can enable through more advanced splash page development. Once upon a time, I recall getting set up with a developer account on Facebook and you could (at the time) require that someone follows the page, likes the page, checks in, etc. in order for them to authorize through the captive portal.
