Access Points Restarts

I have 2 Access Points, AP6 and a Pro. I see that it restarts automatically once in a few days and I dont know why it restarted, Is there a way to check what is going on?

If you turn on persistent logs for APs (Settings→System→Advanced), the logs prior to the reboot will be preserved. You can also reach out to support and we can see if it’s a software issue or a power issue.

Thank you, I dont see an option to turn it on, AP, Router and Switches all have 1 MB and when I click the bell, I only see audits but no logs.

Has it restarted since you changed the value to 1MB?

no it has been at 1 mb prior to restart

It’s likely not actually enabled. If the 1 MB is gray, then it’s not actually enabled. If you type 1 in there (no MB), then it will enable persistent logs.

Thank you for clarifying. I have now typed 1 for each, and now it is a waiting game  I will reach out to support the next time it restarts with the logs. Do I have to type in MB or just the number is enough?

Just the number is enough.

If it says 1 MB in grey, that is the placeholder. Letters are not valid input, so if it’s in red, then it’s letting you know that the field has failed input validation. The persistent logs fields only take a number.

Also for what it’s worth, persistent logs are only recommended for a temporary measure when debugging. It moves the on device logfile from RAM to the eMMC, and those extra writes will shorten the lifespan of the device—do not leave it permanently enabled.
