Hi, new Alta user here with the 8-port POE switch. I’m using a N100 based router running Opnsense, so I’m not using the Alta router.
I’m confused what to enter into (if anything), the setup for VLANs. For example, my Opnsense firewall provides routing and DHCP for IPV4 and IPV6. Is the help text correct that I should only provide Alta router info or should I provide the info for my Opnsense router?
If the latter, the help text needs to be changed to remove Alta router and replace with simply router IMHO.
Welcome to the community! For you, if DHCP is coming from another source, you don’t have to enter anything at all except the VLAN number (if it is other than 1) and a description if you want one.
