5Ghz channel "locked" on AP6 Pro Outdoor!

Hey @Alta-Matt_v2 ,
I am also in the situation that forces me to use an AP6 Pro Outdoor indoors.
Can’t we get the indoor only (non-DFS) channels available for that model as well please?
I am fine if DFS outdoor channels (according to DRT) are being set as a default, but if we have to use this AP indoors for whatever reason, we also need the indoor channels.
A tickbox ‘Usage: indoor/outdoor’ in the Management Console would easily do the trick I guess.
Can you please consider?
This would be great!

We certainly can look into that, but regulatory domain may come into play. What country are you in?

Ah that would be amazing Matt
Of course, always sticking to DRT policies.
I’m living in the center of Europe - Germany

Hi

Same situation in France where AP6 Pro outdoors are used for indoor swiming pools, SPA etc because local regulations require the use of IPx7 devices in these area.

@Alta-Matt_v2 Same issue here in the UK. Any suggestions.

I’m onsite now and trying to use the AP3 to bridge to AP4, approx 10-15m between buildings. A clear LoS and I’ve tried manually setting the channel but nothing seems to stick/ change.

Did you end up getting this figured out?

No, not yet. (BoBB is contracting for me and I’m trying to help get to the bottom of the issue).
Basically the channel selection doesn’t seem to apply, and the two outdoor APs do not mesh. Channel is stuck on 36 and load is constantly 100%

I’ve also created a new mesh SSID and assigned that to White colour and added White to the two outdoor APs, but the SSID is not showing up

@Alta-Josh can you please help with this? They have been struggling all day.

I’ll send you a DM with an email address to invite to the site so I can take a look into what’s going on.

Thanks @Alta-Matt_v2
@BoBB is working on site a lot (for me) so if you don’t get a timely answer, I can invite you, if you’d send me the link as well.
FYI it is very (very) weakly meshing from the indoor loft AP to the (indoor) Annexe1 Laundry AP so we can see the devices on the console but the whole idea is to mesh from the outdoor to outdoor APs to bridge the connection between buildings.
The outdoor APs just do not seem to work like the indoor ones do
