Currently have a 2.4ghz 4X4 MU-MIMO access point. (Linksys LAPAC2600)
I’m looking at upgrading to the Alta labs ap6 pro, but not sure if as far as 2.4ghz goes, if its wise for me to upgrade considering i have a lot of IOT devices using the 2.4ghz.
I’m surprised Alta labs didn’t also utilize having a 4x4 for both 5ghz and 2.4ghz?
I know as far as 5ghz, Alta labs will be a upgrade as my current AP is only WIFI 5 and not WIFI 6. But with most of my devices using 2.4ghz, will this be a downgrade or bottle neck going from a 4X4 to a 2x2 AP?
Can anyone give me advise?
I might be biased, but I think you’ll be happy with the management platform and WiFi6 (plus proprietary improvements) that Alta has.
I think you should try and let us know how it goes
