If you list multiple DNS IPs in a VLAN or WAN, how is it handled?

- Primary and secondary as listed in order?
- Load balanced?
- Parallel?
- Fastest IP?

I’m using adguard for DNS filtering internally and want to list my DNS server. However, I also want to list and external DNS server just in case my internal fails. Same question for WAN configured DNS.

For example VLAN configuration: 10.12.10.20, 1.1.1.1
For example WAN configuration: 1.1.1.1,8.8.8.8
