Questions on Routers

  1. Depends on the deployment size. If can deploy without switch 4lan ports +1 poe+ port would be nice. But if big enough for 1 or more switches just a router with 2 WAN ports en 1 LAN port is good. Also saves cost on the HW

  2. yes so we can go over the 1G cap when the ISP os 1G.

  3. Always rackmount or 19” itself

  4. Metal

  5. see answer 1 How vital are PoE ports on a router?

  6. Depending on the environment I think these routers will not be in enterprise so save money and leaf off, if someone wants to deploy a router instead of a firewall they can buy a converter to fiber instead

  7. PPOE with vlan trunking possible on the WAN. The secondary interface can be a WAN or LAN interface

Very eager for this router. Have a couple problem customer projects I would love to deploy the full stack in. Hit me up if you need a beta test. Will sign NDA.

This was asked in live sessions as well. At that point is was pushed forward and neglected as priority. The only thing is that it is still a very much up to date feature request which can serve a lot of European customers.
