iOS app freezes when not used for a while

Hi,

For a few days, I have been testing the AP6 in my home. At first glance, I achieve higher speeds than an AP22.

The real-time graph is a nice feature. So nice that it is immediately noticeable when it is not working!

When I have not used the iOS app for a while and then start it up again, I see that the graphs are not updated.
Also settings are not applied when they are being saved (tested with de LED color change function).
Forcing the app to close and restart solves this problem.

It could be an iOS limitation but I don’t know.

I have noticed the same on my iPhone. Have to restart the app after some idletime or jumping between apps.

Same story here as well. iPhone 14, iOS 17 Developer Beta, Alta Network Version 1.1.0 (103).

@Niels Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I will take it to the team and report back with anything I find out. :metal:

@Niels @rutman286 @zid Can you guys confirm what version of the app you have? You can check the version by clicking the account button in the top right corner while in the app.

@rutman286 Just to let you know, as of right now, we are making sure we are ready for iOS 17 but we are not there yet.

@Niels Can you confirm what model of iPhone you are using? Also, is it immediate when you notice the graphs are frozen? Does it happen everytime you open the app or just when you let your phone go to sleep then open the app? We just need a little more info to continue troubleshooting.

Don’t worry about it at all Stephen. For me the iPhone app is a nice bonus, but I’m not living on it. I was just sharing having a similar experience.

We’ve successfully replicated the issue you have mentioned and we will have this information forwarded to our engineering team for remediation.

We highly appreciate your feedback and cooperation! In the meantime, please stay tuned for our next app update and keep an eye out for any more of those pesky bugs!
