Yes, it should be possible. Did you create a (local) account? This local instance is not linked to your cloud account. If you didn’t create a local account then that would explain the login issue.
Our Docker image is mutable, so you can use apt to update the packages to the latest version. The available image bundles 1.0d, and the current is 1.0h (release notes for 1.0e+ HERE).
