DHCP creates too many IP conflicts

The DHCP should verify the IP addresses before releasing the IP’s to avoid conflicts

The Four Steps of DORA

• Discover: The client device broadcasts a DHCPDISCOVER message across the local network to find available DHCP servers.
• Offer: Any available DHCP server responds with a DHCPOFFER message, proposing an IP address, subnet mask, default gateway, DNS server, and lease duration.
• Request: The client selects one of the offers and broadcasts a DHCPREQUEST message to inform the chosen server (and release offers from any other servers).
• Acknowledge: The DHCP server finalizes the assignment by sending a DHCPACK (Acknowledgment) packet back to the client, officially granting the lease
