In the future, yes. We are still working on refining the material to remove some of the frustrations being seen. As soon as its to a point where we, and the community are happy with it, we will start offering it as an a-la-carte purchase of some sort.
I had the same issues. the metal plate “seems” nicer than the plastic, but then its not strong enough to stay put when you are trying to line things up to snap into place.
tabs kept bending and I had to fix w nose pliers.
it def left the ceiling w dark marks
the biggest thing I got is a small buzzing that the device has, with our without light on.
the buzzing is not present on the AP6 or AP6pro
